Privacy Policy
FocusShare ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that tracks the time you actively spend on websites and allows you to share highlighted text with Slack and Notion using your own API credentials. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension processes, where that data is stored, and how it is used.
The Extension is developed and maintained by an independent developer. By installing and using FocusShare, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
FocusShare collects and stores the following data exclusively on your local device:

chrome.storage.sync, which Chrome encrypts and may sync across your own signed-in Chrome browsers via Google's infrastructure3.1 Browsing Time Data is used solely to display your personal productivity statistics in the extension popup. It is never transmitted to any external server.
3.2 Highlighted Text is transmitted to third-party services only when you explicitly click the "Slack" or "Notion" button. In that case:
All API calls are made directly from your browser to the respective service. The extension developer never receives or has access to this data.
3.3 API Credentials are used only to authenticate your requests to Slack and Notion. They are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted to the extension developer.
chrome.storage.local on your device. They are never automatically deleted – you can delete them at any time via the Extension's settings page ("Delete all data").chrome.storage.local. The Extension automatically limits this to the most recent 100 entries.chrome.storage.sync. Chrome may sync this data to Google's servers if you are signed into Chrome and have sync enabled. This sync is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.FocusShare does not share any data with the extension developer or any advertising, analytics, or data-brokering service.
The only third-party data transfers are those you initiate yourself by clicking "Slack" or "Notion" in the extension popup, as described in Section 3.2.
The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, and uses them only as described:
chrome://extensions.FocusShare is not directed at children under the age of 13. The Extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL. Significant changes will be noted in the Extension's Chrome Web Store changelog. Continued use of the Extension after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
